About this course
The main topics of the course will be taught in the following order: Feed ingredients, concentrate mixtures and feed technology. N ational feed ingredient production to cover the requirement of the national animal production
Learning outcome
The learning goal is that students, after having completed the course, should have good knowledge of the most important ingredients used in concentrate feed for different species, as well as an understanding of the methods used for formulation and production in the feed factory. After completing the course, the student should have an understanding of the significance of concentrate feed for domestic animal production and aquaculture and be capable of participating in the public debate on topics related to concentrate feed. Especially the understanding of increased national production of feed ingredients that will strengthen the national food security supply and probably reduce climate foot print of the Norwegian animal production.
