About

Gothenburg is located on the Swedish west coast and is the second largest city in Sweden. Gothenburg University in Vasaparken has 24,000 students and more than 5,000 employees, making it one of the largest universities in northern Europe. There are nine faculties, and most of the 70 institutes and centres of the university are located in the centre of Gothenburg.

  • The agreement covers Natural Sciences (biology, environmental sciences, physics, geological sciences, chemistry, mathematics).

  • For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

  • Two places a year at bachelor’s level, and two places a year at master’s level.

  • Swedish and English..

  • Fall semester: September to mid-January.
    Spring semester: Mid-January to mid-June

  • Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
