Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is situated in Northern Italy, in the region Trentino Alto-Adige.

Bolzano (in Geman: Bozen) is famous for beautiful nature, alps and fantastic nature adventures.

As a university in a blended language area, a stay here will give you an exciting insight into the multi-linguistic environment, both through studies and stay. The University uses three languages , focuses on internationalisation and has beautiful surroundings. This has all led to that the university is highly ranked in both national and international rankings. 

  • The agreement applies for Property and Land Law (Eiendom), Urban and Regional Planning, international environmental studies, development studies, natural resource management, ecology and forestry. The agreement applies for master level, and 3rd (final) year of Bachelor. If there are more applicants than places, students from Property and Land Law (Eiendom) and Urban and Regional Planning will be prioritized.

    The agreement applies mainly for Master in Environmental Management of Mountain areas, mbut it is also possible to select courses from other master programs at the Faculty of Science and Technology

    Length of stay

    One semester

  • All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

  • English, German and Italian. English must be documented with a minimum of 4 (or equivalent) from VGS.

  • Autumn semester: end of September - February.

    Spring semester: February - July

  • Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
