Partner universities in Peru / USIL

Peru is known for its educational system and has been hailed as the best educational system in Latin America by UNESCO and the World Bank, among others. With a good academic reputation and an exciting historical context, Peru offers a unique and enriching learning environment.

The ancient Inca empire, a Native community that existed in South America between 1100 and 1500, had its centre in today's Peru. At that time Cusco was the capital, and today the city is a known base for the most visited tourist destination in South America, Machu Picchu. The capital of Peru today is Lima, a city with approximately 8,4 million inhabitants. This is also where you can find NMBUs partner university.

Partner University: Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL)

Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) is a private university founded in 1995, and is located in the capital of Peru, Lima. USIL has invested considerable resources in internationalisation, and consequently much teaching takes place in English.

The closest Consulate General is located in Stockholm, but it is also possible to select another location on this map: http://www.consulado.pe/paginas/Inicio.aspx.

  • Students must organize private accommodation. The university can make recommendations, but the student is responsible for securing housing.
