About

The Agricultural University of Iceland plays a key role in developing societal issues related to agriculture, use of natural resources, planning, environment and climate, as well as issues concerning the society and economy as a whole. The university is situated in Borgarnes.

  • Agreement

    The agreement applies to agricultural sciences, forestry and landscape architecture (bachelor and master).

    Please note that the university can only accept exchange students in the autumn semester.

  • Who can apply

    All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

  • Language of instruction

    Islandic and some in English. Requirement is B2 in English.

  • Semester Timing

    Autumn semester: August-December.

  • Tuition Fees

    Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
