About the study place
Aarhus is a vibrant, modern city with a large number of students. It has been selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2017, and this probably reflects the large array of cultural events and offerings in history and art. Århus does also arrange ‘Kapsejlads’, which is one of Scandinavia’s largest student events. NMBU has an agreement within Science and Technology at this university. The faculty has several departments, and is spread over different campuses: Jylland, Fyn and Sjælland. Among other facilities, the faculty has the world’s largest biogas construction built for research purposes. The University was founded in 1928 and is today in the world's elite within several fields of research.
NMBU has both an Erasmus and a Nordplus agreement with the Faculties of Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences. The following subject areas are covered: Natural sciences, chemistry, mathematics, physics, environment, biology, food, agriculture, engineering sciences and animal sciences. Within this agreement, students can also choose to take a semester-course package within the studies: Agro- and Food Sciences as well as Biological and Chemical Engineering (see Faculty of Technical Sciences) OR within Biologi, Molekylær Biologi, Geoscience og Arctic Studies (See Faculty of Natural Sciences).
Who Can Apply
For all agreements within the Nordplus and Erasmus network it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.
Faculty of Technical Sciences: 1 student per year (2 per semester)
Faculty of Natural Sciences: 1 student per year (2 per semester)Mostly Danish at bachelor’s level, and English at master’s level.
Autumn semester: September – January.
Spring semester: February - June.Nordplus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
The university can offer help in finding accommodation.
