Joris Cornelis Stuurop (Faculty of Environmental Sciences and Natural Resource Management) will defend his PhD thesis "Modelling infiltration dynamics in the frozen unsaturated zone: Implications for flood hazard" Friday 23 February, 2024.

English title of thesis:

"Modelling infiltration dynamics in the frozen unsaturated zone: Implications for flood hazard”

Norwegian title of the thesis:

"Modellering av infiltrasjonsdynamikk i frossen umettet sone: Implikasjoner for flomfare"

Prescribed subject of the trial lecture:

"Numerical simulation of soil water dynamics in cold climates: recent developments and limitations in model design and data support"

Time and place for the trial lecture and the public defence:

Friday 23 February 2024, at 12.15 at Festsalen, Clock Building

The chair of the defense will evaluate whether your question is opportune, and you will be given the word after the two opponents have concluded. 
  • When you are being given the word, you switch on your microphone and camera. Ensure briefly whether you are being heard. 
  • We advise you to test your own equipment before attending.  
  • The chat is not to be used for general discussions.
