Trump 2.0 and trade, climate and energy: How bad can it get?

#Endringsloggen has also caught America fever: We investigate how the world and Norway are affected by who wins the US presidential election. We look at trade, climate, food and energy policy and a possible world order with Trump behind the wheel.

Date:

Address:

Deichman Bjørvika, Deichmansalen (i underetasjen), Anne-Cath. Vestlys plass 1, 0150 Oslo

The world's most powerful nation will soon elect a leader. One of the candidates wants higher tariffs, is a climate denier, does not like international cooperation, and is fond of dictators.

Many fear another Trump term in the White House. But does it matter to Norwegian companies who wins? Is there cause for concern in some industries? What will happen to climate policy in the world and Norway if Trump withdraws the USA from the Paris Agreement? Could there be some upsides to Trump as president again? What are actually the upsides if Harris wins?

How will this go for the world and Norway? The questions are many, and the uncertainty is great.
