Kiel is a port city with approximately 250.000 inhabitants north in Germany. The city was for a long time the home of the main German naval base, and the old and reputable Christian-Albrechts-Univerität zu Kiel has strong ties to marine topics. It is a well-renowned university located in Kiel, the capital of the state Schleswig-Holstein. The university has over 22.000 students, a dynamic campus life and is only a short walk away from the sea.

For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.
German and English.
Fall semester: October - February.
Spring semester: April - March.Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
