About: 'Not In My Back Yard' (NIMBY) is a known phenomenon of local resistance to new developments or projects (waste repositories, renewable energy projects, infrastructure, etc.). NIMBYism is a common challenge but its underpinnings are often misunderstood or oversimplified.
This talk will unpack some of the psychological and sociological reasons behind NIMBY attitudes and how to effectively navigate these barriers.
