About this course
The course is based on TBA190 (Wooden Buildings) and will cover some of the topics introduced there more thoroughly and related to commercial buildings. Special emphasis is placed on indoor climate, ventilation and energy conservation in buildings. In addition the course includes accustic performance and energy supply systems.
Learning outcome
The students are to acquire knowledge of the most important principles of good house building technique. Through knowledge of the physics of buildings, the most important building materials and technical building systems (AVHC), the students should be able to design the various parts of houses and simple commersiell buildings. Sustainability is handled by the BREEAM-method.
- Lectures. Seminars/colloquia with teacher present. Independent work on exercises. Independent study.
- TBA190 or corresponding ! Reverse order, TBA210 before TBA190 is not recommended
With 8 or more students: 3 hour written exam.
With fewer than 8 students: oral exam.
Note: A continuation exam may be given as oral exam even if the main exam was written. All examinations during the semester must be passed

- Exercises and excursion. The exercises must be handed in for approval at least one week before the examination.
- Lectures: 52 hours (4 hours per week). Exercises: 26 hours (2 hours per week). Excursion takes place in lecture hours.
