About this course
Lectures on administrative law. There will be emphasis on practical examples related to NMBu"s academic areas. There will be arranged for voluntary assignments with review in plenary. Group work is not compulsory, but recommended.
Learning outcome
Students should have an understanding of how executive work is done, and the students should become able to assess the limits of the admistrative authority. The students should become familiar with the main features of the administration’s composition and measures, hereunder authority of local and central administration. The students should acquire a good understanding of central rules of procedure, hereunder the rules on preparatory proceedings, impartiality, right of access and right of appeal. The course should also provide the students with a good understanding of the framework for the administration’s exercise of judgment, and the students should become familiar with how the public authorities combine administrative decisions and contract mechanisms in order to achieve their goals.
