About

AUT is the second largest university in Aotearoa New Zealand. The university dates from 2000, but has functioned as a place of learning since 1880. NMBU has an agreement with the Faculty of Culture and Society; Faculty of Maori and Indigenous Development, Te Ara Poutama and Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies.

Auckland is New Zealand's largest city with approximately 1.5 million inhabitants, and an economic hub with 30% of the country's population. It is located by a beautiful harbor area, with a mild climate all year round and is ranked as one of the best cities in the world to live in.

The agreement is particularly suitable for students from REALTEK, LANDSAM, MINA, but may also be relevant for others.

    Students must have completed 60 credits before the stay abroad begins.

  • Bachelor student: 60 AUT study points are equivalent to 30 NMBU study points. 4 courses per semester.

    Master level student: 3 units at 600 level are equivalent to 30 NMBU study points.

  • For periods of study exceeding three months, a visa is necessary. To apply for a visa, it is necessary to have been accepted as an exchange student, to have received a receipt for paid tuition fees, and to be able to prove sufficient funds for covering living expenses during the stay. You can apply online through Immigration New Zealand, processing time can take up to four weeks  and the fee is approx. NZ$330.00
