Rector Candidate Solve Sæbø
Solve Sæbø Photo: Tommy Normann Professor of Statistics at KBM since 2012. Holds a master's degree and a PhD from NMBU. Former Pro-Rector for Education (2017–2021), where he led the work on NMBU’s sustainability strategy and developed measures to improve learning quality and student welfare. Has a broad research background in learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical methods, and has contributed to the development of Norway's first MOOC in statistics. Board member of NORA and chair of NMBU’s AI committee. An experienced leader with a strategic focus on how the university can address complex societal challenges through knowledge development and collaboration.
Solve will be a unifying leader who develops NMBU through collaboration and forward-thinking.
Prorector Candidate for Education Elin Kubberød
Current Pro-Rector for Education. Elin is a professor and a distinguished teacher in entrepreneurship and innovation at the NMBU School of Business. She holds a cand. agric. in food science from NMBU and a PhD from the Norwegian School of Economics (BI). Elin has been the driving force behind the master's program in entrepreneurship and innovation at the School of Business. She has diverse leadership experience as a subject group leader, program leader, team leader, and marketing manager. Elin has an extensive research background in entrepreneurship within the food, agriculture, and technology sectors, as well as in entrepreneurship education. She has experience from the academic sector, industry, and startups.
Elin will be a driving force for development and collaboration across disciplines and functions, working closely with the needs of society and students, both nationally and internationally.
Prorektorkandidat for forskning Erik Trømborg
Professor of Forest Economics and Section Leader at MINA. Holds a master’s degree and a PhD from NMBU, with international experience from the USA and Uganda. Extensive research experience in renewable energy, circular wood use, and climate transition, including as a member of the Climate Committee 2050. Erik was the initiator of the successful renewable energy program at MINA. He has worked for several years in operational forest management and consulting outside NMBU and has been a co-owner and CEO of a consulting firm that has recruited many NMBU graduates.
Erik will be a pro-rector for research who strengthens NMBU's research capacity and relevance in addressing society's need to tackle global challenges.
