I have a bachelor's and european master's degree in health economics and health management with specialization in global health. My main research background and interests are within the maternal and reproductive health, mental health, social determinants of health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, migration, conflict and health.
My PhD research topic is variations in disease in childhood among immigrants in Norway with the title being better knowledge of health among people born in Norway to immigrant parents - a step on the way to more sustainable development. The main aim of the project is to contribute to socially sustainable development by studying the development of illness at a young age and into adulthood among children who grow up in Norway with immigrant parents, as well as relationships to the use of various support schemes and other social welfare.
