As part of its new project Global Offshore Data Repository the EU Tax Observatory is looking for a Data Coordinator. The project is funded by Norad and a is a collaboaration also with Skatteforsk - Centre for Tax Research.
Employment status: Full-time
Supervisors: Pierre BACHAS and Annette ALSTADSÆTER
Duration of the contract: 12 months (permanent possible in the longer term)
Localisation: Paris, France
Starting date: As soon as possible
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the production of data series to be hosted on the global repository
- Develop the concept and structure of the Global Data Repository with the team
- Liaise with the web developer agency
- Assist the Partnership Director for NORAD’s reporting
- Set up and be responsible for the Repository’s Help Line (support for the external use of the Repository)
- Prepare the Repository’s annual statistics report
- Support the communication team to boost the visibility of the repository
You should fulfill the following requirements:
- Master degree in economics or another related field
- Demonstrate data analysis and econometrics experience
- Previous coding experience would be considered a plus (especially in Stata and R)
- Knowledge of taxation literature and policy debates desirable but not essential
- Ability to work in an international environment
- Work well in a team, but also operate well independently
- Interested in research communication/dissemination and policy driven work
- Advanced command of English
