NMBU Next: Career development and opportunities beyond PhD

We are excited to announce that NMBU Next is back! Last year, we relaunched NMBU’s traditional PhD career day as a full week dedicated to career development for PhD candidates, Postdocs, and Early-career academics. Participants took part in a variety of lectures, workshops, and practical courses covering research ethics, communication, project management, innovation, and career planning.

Building on last year’s programme, NMBU Next 2026 will offer a range of sessions and activities to support career development. A highlight this year is the opportunity to attend the largest career day at NMBU, coordinated by the Industry Committee, on the 11th of February at GG Hall in the Eika Sports Center. PhD candidates and master’s students will have the chance to meet a wide range of companies and organizations from private and public sector, expand their networks, and explore how research skills can be applied across different sectors.
The PhD education team at NMBU will also have its own stand, with support from PhD advisers centrally and at the faculties, highlighting researcher expertise and career opportunities.
