Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (University of Bonn) was founded in 1818. With a student body of 35,000, the university is one of Germany's largest academic institutions, and with more than 5,000 international students from around the world, it is also one of the most internationally oriented. A large range of subjects, an outstanding reputation in teaching and research and a unique location make the university a particularly attractive place to study.

  • The agreement applies to Agriculture, plant science and animal science (both bachelor's and master's level). The agreement applies to the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Bonn.

    Programmes taught 100% in English:

    M.Sc. Agricultural and Food Economics (AFECO)

    M.Sc. Agricultural Science and Resource Management in the Tropics and Subtropics (ARTS)

    These programs contain some subjects in English:

    -M.Sc. Crop Science

    -M.Sc. Nature Conservation and Landscape Ecology

    Length of stay

    1 - 2 semesters

  • For all Erasmus agreements, you must have completed 60 credits before your stay abroad begins.

  • English and German. Bachelor students must be able to document a minimum B1 level in German (equivalent to a minimum of 4 in German II from VGS). Intensive courses in German are offered before and during each semester. Master's students must be able to document minimum B2.

  • Autumn semester: October - February

    Spring semester: April- August

  • Erasmus students must pay semester fees and register at NMBU for the semester they are abroad, but then do not have to pay semester fees or other tuition fees at the agreement university.
