About

Technische Universität München is located in the German state of Bavaria. Munich is a city that has become one of the most important technological centers in Germany and Europe over the past few decades. Technische Universität München has produced no less than six Nobel Prize winners and is among the highest ranked universities in Germany. NMBU has an agreement with a faculty located in Weihenstepan, about half an hour's train ride outside Munich, and a faculty located in the city of Munich

  • The agreement applies to civil engineering, environmental physics, water and environment, real estate, geomatics, landscape architecture/urban law, food science, agriculture and forestry (bachelor's and master's level)

    4 places within Civil/Building engineering at Faculty of Civil, Geo and Environmental Engineering

    3 places in one semester each within Earth Sciences at Department of Aerospace and Geodesy ( students from real estate and geomatics will be prioritized)

    3 places in one semester for Landscape architecture/Byreg/environment at TUM School of Life Sciences in Freising 

    2 places for Food Science at TUM School of Life Sciences

    1 place agricultural sciences at  TUM School of Life Sciences

    1 place forestry at TUM School of Life Sciences

    Length of stay

    1 - 2 semesters.

  • All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

  • German and English . Bachelor courses are given in German, and German proficiency at minimum level B2 must be documented.
    Several courses in English on master level. English proficiency at minimum B2 must be documented. 

  • Autumn semester: October - February/March

    Spring semester: April - august

  • Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
