About

Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry is situated in Brno, which is the second largest city in the Czech Republic with its 370.000 inhabitants and more than 80.000 students. It is located centrally in Europe with a short distance to Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Krakow and Vienna.

This agricultural university has its name from the father of genetics,Gregor Johann Mendel,- and they offer many courses relevant for NMBU students.

  • The agreement applies for natural sciences, animal science, food science, forestry, ecology and Social Sciences.

  • All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

  • English and Czech.  English can be documented with a minimum of 4 in English from VGS.

  • Autumn semester: September - January.
    Spring semester: February - September.

  • Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

  • International students can rent student accommodation.
