About
Aberystwyth is a small and pleasant university on the western coast of Wales that has been welcoming international students for more than 100 years. The university is known for its excellent student environment and NMBU students have given very positive reviews from their stays in Aberystwyth. The city has approximately 13.000 inhabitants and is a historic market and seaport in Ceredigion in Wales. The university has about 7000 students.
This agreement is applies to studies in biology, earth sciences (B-MINA og B-ØN) and internasjonal relations, but can also be revelant for animal sciences, chemistry/biotech og development studies. NB! This agreement is only for these faculties: Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences , Department of International Politics (only bachelor level courses) and Department of Geography and Earth Sciences (only bachelor level courses).
Number of Study places: three students per year with Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences, two studenter i one semester with Department of International Politics (this is reserved for students admitted to a M-IR) and two students in up to one year with Department of Geography and Earth Sciences.
Length of stay
1 semester.

All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

Aberytswyth requires that you have a minimum of B2 or 4 in written and oral English from VGS. See English language proficiency requirements.
Autumn semester: End of September - end of January.
Spring semester: End of January - beginning of Juni.Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fees at the partner university.
10 study points with Aberystwyth is the equivalent of 5 ECTS with NMBU.
The university offers student rooms for exchange students, but it is you will need to apply early.
