About the study place
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven was founded in 1425, and is today a modern university located centrally in Belgium; Leuven is only about 25km east from Brussels. The university is considered the oldest catholic university in this part of Europe and the biggest Flemish speaking university, and is consistently ranked among the world’s 100 best universities. Leuven itself has around 101,000 inhabitants, so student life makes a strong impact on the town. Finally, part of the Old Town in Leuven is on UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites list..
The agreement covers agricultural subjects (Faculty of Bioscience engineering), biology (Faculty of Science) and Business/economics (Faculty of Economics and Business). Master level.
For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing a study abroad exchange.
Faculty of Bioscience Engineering: Three students per semester.
Faculty of Science: One master’s student per year.Dutch and English.
Autumn semester: late September – early February.
Spring semester: early February – early July.Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
80% of students at the university live in privately-owned accommodation. However, the university can help with finding accommodation.
