About this course
Learning outcome
Knowledge: The student should have wide knowledge about the structure and properties of wood, and they should be able to relate it to how wood is influenced by the silviculture, and how suitable wood is for different applications.
Skills: The students should be able to describe the structure of wood and to determine the Norwegian species by wood anatomy. The students should also be able to perform testing of physical and mechanical properties of wood.
General competence: The students should be able to communicate technical information and exchange opinions with others on the subject.
