About this course
The real and imaginary number line. Elementary functions and inverse functions. Limits and continuity. Differentiation and applications of the derivative. Analysis of functions and graphs. Riemann integral and basic integration techniques. Elementary series and Taylor series. First and second order ordinary differential equations. Numerical methods for determining roots, numerical integration and numerical solution of first order ODE’s.
Learning outcome
Students are to:
- acquire the basic ideas and theorems in the theory
- master the standard methods for analysing and operating with functions with one variable
- be able to use this knowledge and skills to solve simple applied problems.
